| Sam's interview with Wally Szczerbiak was quick but very memorable. Read Sam's report on the interview with the NBA star. | I thought Samantha would enjoy seeing that happen and if she was lucky, maybe get a glove herself. Samantha went down to stand where the players enter & exit the field. Some players were off the field and Samantha came back to me with red eyes and tears. Read the full report with pictures. |
September has fallen like colored leaves and October's cold breath brings us more than winter - it brings us football & Halloween. Hope you can enjoy Fall!
As
you can see on this page, I'm busy with many projects. I have even volunteered
my time & Marsha's to help the Minnesota
Vixen Women's Football Club, a football team of women who work hard
to play a game they and I love. I created a program for them and it is
available on my site for viewing.
There's little surprises in this movie. The movie was exactly like the game. Testosterone & steroids with some serious spooky developing story (you will repeatedly ask what was that?). It even delivered some first-person shooter views (though not too many, it would probably make the audience ill). Read on at http://www.epinions.com/content_208904490628.

25 September, 2005 Tennesee Titans at Saint Louis Rams, Edward Jones Dome
What a great weekend! We arrived in Saint Louis at 1:30 AM Saturday morning and got home around 1:00 AM last night. It rained all day Sunday but I didn't mind. Read the full Bash report.
The
Saint Louis Rams had just beaten the Tennessee Titans 31-27 and the players
were leaving the field. Our seats for the game were in the section above
where the Rams enter & exit the field. I knew players would sometimes
throw their gloves or wristbands to the children fans in the stands. I
thought Samantha would enjoy seeing that happen and if she was lucky,
maybe get a glove herself. Samantha went down to stand where the players
enter & exit the field. Some players were off the field and Samantha
came back to me with red eyes and tears. Read
the full report with pictures.
10 July 2005
This weekend I did the craziest thing of my life. For a local sports fan reality show, I donned full football gear and joined the Minnesota Vixen football team.
The idea was my own and I assume all the responsibility for the pain, bruises, and aches I have today. Yesterday, I spent three-plus hours running, sweating, and frying in the summer sun. After practice, I think I suffered a mild case of sunstroke. I paid my dues for trying to keep up with the Vixen. Honestly, I think I got off easy and was lucky. But let me talk a little about earning my pain...read on...
As always, I'm busy working on stuff and my latest project is The Haven Stained Glass Art Studio website. It showcases beautiful works and I recommend you check it out. If you order anything, please tell them I sent you.

Last night, I was able to attend a special event.
Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:26 PM
I'd never spoil a movie. Well, I just got home from a preview screening of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
Going in, I was worried about being teased. Episodes I and II were so weak, I hate to consider them in the same context as the Luke Skywalker Star Wars. Also, I was teased because of the potential that this could actually be the best Star Wars movie since The Empire Strikes Back. But then again, I was worried I'd see more Jar-Jar Binks and that's not a good thing.
In the end, here's my poem:
Stunning visuals
Great story, solid story
Blinding battles
A movie worthy of its name.
Go see it!

I Still Have a Dream - Don't Label Ozzie & Shame on Danica
I still have a dream. I dream of a world where a baseball manager is not noted because of the color of his skin, but because of his talent. After the White Sox dispatched the Anaheim Angels (I refuse to call them by their goofy two city official name), I was disappointed to see something like "First Latin Manager in the World Series" under Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen while he addressed the media after winning the American League pennant.
I have a dream where ESPN does not need to add that.

Being
a Minnesota Timberwolves Season Ticket Holder sure has its privileges!
Last night for no good reason other than I'm a season ticket holder, my
daughter and I got to watch the first half of the Timberwolves versus
Houston Rockets from the TV truck.
On Saturday, 16 October, we attended the Minnesota Wild's Fan Fair at Xcel Energy Center. While there, Samantha and I were interviewed by the Saint Paul Pioneer Press writer covering the event. Samantha was quoted in the article. The part with Samantha follows:
...Others were more excited.
Samantha Ackerman, 10, of Burnsville doesn't understand about lockouts and labor battles and was just glad to go into the locker room and have her photo taken next to Wild player Marian Gaborik's locker.
"What's going on?" she asked. "Are they not going to play hockey this year?"
You can read the whole article at http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/hockey/9939496.htm.
On 26 September, I went down to Saint Louis to meet up with the Rampagers and attend the Rams game versus the New Orleans Saints. I posted as many pictures as space allowed at http://superrams.tripod.com/Bash2004.
I am currently the webmaster for Rampagers.com, a Saint Louis Rams website. If you're looking for information on the Saint Louis Rams, this website will tell you how to link into the Rampagers mailing list. We're looking to revise the site so if you have any suggestions, please send them my way.
